Hair: Messy bun on left side. Feather
Makeup: You guys know what you are doing!!! :)
Costume: Black pants, black/green top, feather for hair, clogging shoes.  ** No socks. you may wear tan tights if you want.

This is an amazing benefit performance that we have tried to participate in every year.

Share a Little Christmas

Share a Little Christmas Benefit Concert and Charity will be held at Alice C Harris Intermediate School, 515 n 800 w (by the Fairgrounds) in Tremonton on Saturday, Dec. 20th. There will be entertainment from local groups from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm. Our group will be performing at 9:15 am please be arrive at 8:30 am dressed and ready to dance.

As part of the Charity we will be collecting new Pajamas and books to donate to the New Hope Crisis Center (the Women’s Shelter) in Brigham City. Please bring all books and pajamas that you are going to donate to dance class before the 20^th so Emily can sort them by sizes and have them ready to turn in.  You do not have to donate, this is just if you would like to. There is a box in the studio.

Santa will be there and pictures with him will be posted on www.tanglewood-studio.com for you to download. If you want a picture with Santa, please bring a can of food to donate to the Tremonton Food Pantry.

Your child will be given their paper pajamas the first week of December.  We are asking each dancer to do 4 if they can.  Each Paper pajama is worth $1.00.  When you child collects a dollar donation, they write the name of the person donating and return it to the studio.  We hang them on the wall during the month of December.  All money is taken to the performance on the 20^th.  

If you are wanting to donate more money (not just paper pajamas) you can make a payment at the performance.  There will also be a BAKE SALE.  All money donated will be going to the Nathan and Kathy Taylor family from BR City. This young mother of 6 is battling cancer and recently lost their prematurely born baby.

 PLEASE invite as many people as you can! We would love to SHARE our talents with as many as possible!

 

*There will be no dance for the two weeks we are off of school in December.  We will resume dance on Tuesday, Jan 6 and Thursday Jan 8.

* Upcoming competitions.  We will be going to Thanksgiving Point on March 7th.  Please keep your calendars open.  Competition fees will show up on the February statement.

*Lagoon is on May 2nd this year.  Competition fees will show up in April on your statement.

*My oldest team will be going to Springfest on April 19th.

Shoes for Sale - Marlene Black

If anyone is interested, I have two pair of white lace-up clogging shoes that my daughter has outgrown, sizes 3 ½ & I think size 2 (the size print has worn off). 

$30 for the size 3 ½  (bought new in February 2013, and used only until the end of clogging in May 2013, outgrown by August 2013, and have been sitting in a box since then). 

$20 for the size 2 (a little more worn but still very good)

Welcome Back

Cost this year is $25/month.  Discount for families is available.

Registration Fee:  $10.00 per student  (this fee helps with buying new supplies for the studio each year)

* there is a $20 maximum for families who register multiple children

Your spot is reserved once you turn in your registration with your $10.00 fee. 

I apologize, there were a few things unclear on the mailer I sent out.  Your child does not need a white and a black pair of shoes.  The younger two classes on Tuesday are black, everyone else on Thursday is white.  I still rent out black shoes so call me if you need a pair. It is $15.00 a year.

Class times were crazy on that mailer.  :)  Classes will start at 4pm on both Tuesday and Thursday.  Here are the correct times:

Tuesdays

4 to 4:45 – Tiny Tots (5-6 year olds)

4:45 to 5:30 – Mini Miss (6-7 year olds)

 (This class is far from full.  If you know anyone who would like to take you get some tuition off for recommending them)

 

Thursdays

4 to 4:45 – Starz (8-9 year olds)

4:45 to 5:30  – Junior team (10-12 year olds)

     5:30 to 6:30 – Senior Team

* I marked this class off for an hour.  The last 15 minutes will be solos and individual event time. 

I am really excited to start dance. I have missed the kids and the music :)

Recital

Recital is this Saturday, May 17th at 6pm

All dancers need to be there by 5:30pm.

Wear hair the same as for competitions.

My Wednesday at 3 class needs to wear a white leotard under the costume.  The girls have been helping make up and work on an animal dance and I have animal tutu's for them to wear.
