Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a great first month of clogging.I am really excited about this year, as always. Just a few things:

1. TUITION: This is different this month due to UEA. There will be no class on the 20th. Some months that we only have 3 lessons you will still pay normal tuition because the following month has 5 weeks or we have a performance. This is not the case in October or November so I will lower tuition. See your statement for what you owe.

2. TAPS: Those of you who had taps installed, the price was raised from $6 to $8. I apologize for the increase. Going this route is still cheaper than the cost of real clogging shoes. You are billed on your statement for your tap install.

3. CHECKS: Please write them to me. I do not have a business account so the bank will no longer let me cash checks to GOTTA DANCE.

4. PARKING: Please avoid parking on the lane north of my house. There are 3 parking spots next to my garage and you can park anywhere up behind my house.

5. COSTUMES: We will be ordering costumes this month. Within the next two weeks you will have a note saying what you will owe. This money is due before I will order your costume. If you do not have it to me by the date specified on the note, you will have to pay the shipping for your item. This fee can sometimes be up to $30.00 for one costume. I try to keep costumes between $40 and $50 and am a stickler about modesty. If you have any concerns, let me know. A picture of your child's costume will be included with the note. Keep in mind that my oldest team may be a bit more money. If you could email your child's sizes that would be great. I need to know: Current pant size, shirt size, and dress size. Leotards run small so I will be taking measurements in class for those ordering a leotard. When telling me sizes, include: SM, MED, LRG, and the number size ie..5-6, 7-8, etc.

7. REGISTRATION FORMS: I have not received these from the following: Cambry Bentley, Lexi Grover, The Sorenson's, The Call's, and Tori Wanner.

Skin Glue

I did some research on buying skin glue for costumes that won't stay in place. There is a site called danceshopper.com that sells a really good brand. Just type in Skin Glue in the search. However, it is 9.95 for small bottle and 14.95 for the big bottle. I am not sure about shipping. I found a brand on Amazon that is $7.20 a bottle and you get free shipping. I am not sure how well it works since I have only used the other brand, but it is cheaper and may do the job. Just type in Jobst body glue (that is not a spelling mistake, it is what it is called) in the search engine.

Thanksgiving Point

Hey everyone! Just a reminder that Thanksgiving Point is this weekend. I am so excited. This is my favorite competition by far and the teams are ready and looking good. You will be performing at the Red Show Barn at Thanksgiving Point. It is not hard to find because it is just that...a Red Barn. Once you get inside just look for all of us Gotta Dance people. It is really not a hard place to find people because it is one giant room. Your child should have brought a note home saying what time she needs to be there and how to do hair and such. If you don't have that, call me.
Be sure to have your kids pick up their medals at the awards table. Just say you are from Gotta Dance.

Just some good things to know.


* The Thanksgiving Point competition is just around the corner and I am so excited!!! Just a reminder of the dates.  It will be on March 4th and 5th.  Most of you will just have to be there on the 5th.  Times are not given till the week before, sorry, its just how the events run.  This competition is free to all family members attending.  Competition fees will show up on your February statement and are due ASAP.  Please let me know if your students are doing any solo events :)


* I will be ordering studio sweats this year.  Along with the sweats there will be: tshirts, hats, garment bags, and duffel bags.  There is absolutely no pressure from me to get any Gotta Dance items.  I will send a flyer around next week and have samples displayed in the studio for you to see.  One thing I would like to mention is that if you order with the group you will not be paying shipping.  If you order alone, your items will cost more.  


* We have lots of people doing duets this year which makes me way excited.  Please make sure you are scheduling your times with me to do your dances.  Dances that aren't ready won't go to Thanksgiving Point. I will assume you are doing costumes unless you have asked me to help:)
